Contents

In this howto we want to show how the C520-WiMi's Bluetooth function can be used in daily life. It's interesting that you can connect the C520-WiMi to a headset, as well as to a PC and even a mobile phone.

Usage purpose:

  1. Headset

WIf you want to use the C520-WiMi temporarily like a normal phone, you can use basically any Bluetooth capable headset via Bluetooth. How to do this is explained later in this article. (Snom cannot guarantee the function of every headset).

  2. Using with a PC

If you want to use a meeting solution on your PC/laptop with Bluetooth support, you can pair the C520-WiMi via BT as a "cellular" device. It will be recognized in the PC as a headset. Both the built-in microphone and the small microphones connected via DECT can be used. In our test we tried it with Google Hangouts and it worked without any problems. Any other solution that allows the use of a headset should work the same way.

  3. Use with a mobile phone

You can pair the C520-WiMi as a "Cellular" device, just like with a PC, and use it as a headset. We have also used Google Hangouts for testing purposes.
