Once the position of the base stations is determined, can proceed installing the multi cell system.

How to set up a DECT Multicell with Snom M700/M900 devices

1. Start with the first base:
   

   Warning
   ATTENTION:  Before you set up another base, the first, primary base must be completely set up. This will then show "Allowed to Join as Primary" at the end.

   
   

   • To access the base, enter the IP address of the base into a web browser, and

     use the default credentials for "username" and "password": admin

   • Updating the firmware to the latest version

     Tip
     Please check in advance whether the latest stable Firmware version is installed on your DECT base station (M700/M900) and your DECT handsets (M25/M65/M70/M80/M85/M90).

     
     

   • Configure the NTP server and the proper Country / time-zone
     WUI → "Country"
     
     
   • Configure the SIP server
     WUI → "Servers"
     
     
   • Configure at least one SIP account
     WUI → "Extensions"
     
     

   • Enable "multi cell mode"
     WUI → "Mutlicell"
     
     

     Info
     Check the "System Chain ID" (value 512 is default, can be changed to realize special scenarios.)

     
     

   • Configuration of data synchronization = Multicast (you can also choose Peer-to-Peer, but this should only be used temporarily)
     Better always use "multicast"!

     In the Multicell, all changes will be propagated automatically over all the bases.

     
     Peer-to-peer: in case the system is set using peer-to-peer you must change the settings on the Primary data sync DECT base. Changing a setting on another base will not trigger a setting synchronization.
     "Multi primary" should be avoided except for some very specific situation
     In production the DECT tree should be calculated automatically by the system in order to offer the best coverage and redundancy

   • Reboot the base
     
     

2. Once the base is rebooted, you should see the status "Ready to join as Primary" in the device home page
   
   

1. Set up the second base (and each subsequent base in the same way)
   
   

   Warning
   Caution: Do not start setting up the second or additional bases until the first, Primary Base is fully configured. Please note that the configuration of a primary base is different from the configuration of all other bases. Therefore, only perform the steps listed here.

   
   

   • Make sure that the base is set to the factory default values, reset them if in doubt:  How to factory reset the M300,M700,M900

   • Update the firmware to the  same version as the primary Base

     Warning
     Attention: All bases of a multi-cell must use the same firmware.

     
     

     Note
     Tip: If admin/admin doesn't work the first time you press it, just send it a second time. This is intended as a security feature to remind you to change the default credentials.

     
     

   • Configure the NTP server and the proper Country / time-zone
     WUI → "Country"

   • Enable "multi cell mode"
     WUI → "Mutlicell"

     Note
     Be sure to set "System Chain ID" to the same value as the first, primary base (default is 512).

     
     

   • Reboot the base
     
     
2. After restarting the base stations the base should connect to the system, this can take up to 15-20 minutes.
   
   
3. Install all base stations in the same way as the second one.
   
   
4. Register the handsets with the system.

Step by step Guide:

1. First we have to configure the so called Data Primary.

1. • Go to the web interface of your M700/M900 and go to the section "Servers".

   • Standard username and password are admin/admin.

   • Here you have to enter the registrar and make further settings if necessary.

Sobald die Position der Basisstationen bestimmt ist, kann mit der Installation des Multizellensystems begonnen werden.

So richten sie eine DECT Multizelle ein mit Snom M700/M900 Geräten:

1. Beginnen Sie mit der ersten Basis
   

   Warning
   ACHTUNG: Bevor sie eine weitere Basis einrichten, muss die erste, primäre Basis vollständig eingerichtet sein. Diese zeigt dann am Ende "Zugelassen zur Nutzung als primäre Basisstation".

   
   

   • Um auf die Basis zuzugreifen, geben Sie die IP-Adresse der Basis in einen Webbrowser ein und
     verwenden die standard Zugangsdaten für "Benutzername" und "Passwort" = admin

   • Aktualisieren der Firmware auf die neueste Version 
     

     Tip
     Bitte überprüfen Sie vorab, ob auf Ihrem DECT Basisstation (M700/M900) sowie Ihren DECT Mobilteilen (M25/M65/M70/M80/M85/M90) die neueste stabile Firmware -Version installiert ist.

     
     

   • Konfigurieren Sie den NTP-Server und die richtige Region / Zeitzone.
     WUI → "Country/Länder Einstellungen"
     
     
   • Konfigurieren des SIP-Servers
     WUI → "Servers"
     
     
   • Konfigurieren Sie mindestens ein SIP-Konto.
     WUI → "Extensions/Benutzer"
     
     

   • "Multizellenmodus" aktivieren
     WUI → "Multicell/Multizelle"
     
     

     Info
     Kontrollieren Sie die "System Chain ID" (512 ist der Standard-Wert. Dieser kann bei Bedarf geändert werden, um spezielle Szenarien zu realisieren.)

     
     

   • Konfiguration der Datensynchronisation = Multicast (Sie können auch Peer-to-Peer wählen, dies sollten sie aber nur temporär verwenden.)
     Verwenden Sie immer "Multicast"!

     In der Multizelle werden alle Änderungen automatisch über alle Basen verteilt.

     
     Peer-to-Peer: Wenn das System mit Peer-to-Peer eingestellt ist, müssen Sie die Einstellungen auf der DECT-Basis für die primäre Datensynchronisation ändern. Wenn Sie eine Einstellung auf einer anderen Basis ändern, wird keine Synchronisation der Einstellungen ausgelöst.
     "Multi-Primary" sollte vermieden werden, außer in Ausnahmen.
     
     Im produktiv Status sollte der DECT-Baum vom System automatisch berechnet werden, um die beste Abdeckung und Redundanz zu bieten.

   • Neustart der Basis
     
     
2. Nach dem Neustart der Basis sollten Sie auf der Weboberfläche Ihrer Basis den Status "Zugelassen zur Nutzung als primäre Basisstation / Ready to join as Primary" sehen.
   
   

1. Richten Sie die zweite Basis ein (und jede weitere genauso)
   
   

   Warning
   Achtung: Beginnen Sie erst mit der Einrichtung der zweiten oder weiteren Basen, nachdem die erste, primäre Basis vollständig konfiguriert wurde. Bitte beachten Sie das sich die Konfiguration einer primären Basis von der Konfiguration aller anderen Basen unterscheidet. Führen Sie also nur die hier aufgeführten Schritte durch.

   
   

   
   
   • Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Basis auf die werkseitigen Standardwerte eingestellt ist, resetten sie diese im Zweifellsfall: How to factory reset the M300,M700,M900
     
     

   • Aktualisieren der Firmware auf die selbe Version wie die primäre Basis.
     

     
     

     Warning
     Achtung: Alle Basen einer Multizelle müssen die Selbe Firmware verwenden.

     
     

   • Konfigurieren Sie den NTP-Server
     WUI → "Country/Länder Einstellungen"
     
     

   • "Multizellenmodus" aktivieren
     WUI → "Multicell/Multizelle"
     

     Note
     Setzen Sie "System Chain ID" unbedingt auf den gleichen Wert wie die erste, primäre Basis (Standardmässig ist 512 eingestellt.)

     
     

   • Neustart der Basis.
     
     
2. Nach dem Neustart der Basisstationen sollte sich die Basis dem System anschließen, dies kann bis zu 15-20 Minuten dauern.
   
   
3. Installieren Sie alle Basisstationen auf die gleiche Weise wie die Zweite.
   
   
4. Registrieren Sie die Mobilteile am System.

Schritt für Schritt Anleitung:

1. Zunächst müssen wir den sogenannten Daten Primary konfigurieren.

   1. Gehen sie dazu auf dei Weboberfläche Ihrer M700/M900 und dort in den Bereich "Server".

   2. Standard Benutzername und Passwort sind admin/admin.

      Tipp: Sollte admin/admin nicht beim ersten mal drücken funktionieren, einfach ein zweites Mal abschicken. Dies ist als Sicherheitsmerkmal gedacht um daran zu erinnern das sie die Standard Zugangsdaten ändern sollten.

      
      
      
      

   3. Klicken sie dort auf den den Punkt "Server hinzufügen".
      

      
      
      

   4. Hier müssen sie den Registrar eingeben und sofern notwendig weitere Einstellungen machen.
