This is a technology that enables IP-based telephone systems with only a single access account can manage many phone numbers. With the conventional SIP procedure, each individual terminal device requires for a phone number has its own account with user name and password. SIP trunking, however, enables with only one account the direct dial-in to many devices, each with its own extension numbers: - called "SIP-DDI" - and that makes a lot easier.
