Starting from firmware 520B1, it is possible to assign some functions to the A190 buttons, and in that way for example start a call from the A190 itself or use them to interact while on a call.

At the end of this HowTo, you will find some XML files, some of them are examples (the details are in the commented XML code in the file), and the "configuration.xml" is the generic file that can be modified to meet your own scenario.

As you can see in the "configuration.xml" file, there are different states in which the A190 can be configured, different buttons that can be used and different functions that can be called, some of which related to the Number parameters you can find at the end of the file.

To interact with the headset, you can define:

  • Three buttons: Hook, Mute and Aux (the latter only in call-states)
  • Three events for each button: Single short press, Double press and Long press
  • Two main states, Idle and Call, but the latter can be divided into eight sub-states which are: Incoming call, Outgoing call, Call connected, Call on hold, Second incoming call (call waiting), Second outgoing call, Second call connected, Conference (all these states are in the generic "configuration.xml" file already)



Classes of Functions

There are then six classes of functions that can be assigned to events:

  • Mute functions: Muteon, Muteoff
  • Single-call functions: Connect, Reject, Release, Hold, Retrieve
  • Multi-call functions: Connect + Release, Connect + Hold, Reject + Release, Join conference
  • Dial functionconfigured referring to the extension you want to dial
  • Transfer functionconfigured referring to the extension you want to transfer the call to, BlindTransfer
  • DTMF sequence: configured with a DTMF sequence for the PBX to interpret



States

Each function can be used in a specific state (or more than one), here a list to summarize all of them:

  • Idle: Dial, DTMF sequence
  • Incoming call: Connect, Reject, DTMF sequence
  • Outgoing call: Mute functions, Release
  • Call connected: Mute functions, Release, Hold, DTMF sequence
  • Call on hold: Mute functions, Release, Retrieve, Dial, Transfer, DTMF sequence
  • Second incoming call (call waiting): Mute functions, Connect, Reject, Connect + Hold, Connect + Release, Reject + Release, DTMF sequence
  • Second outgoing call: Mute functions, Release
  • Second call connected: Mute functions, Release, Swap, Join conference, Blind Transfer, DTMF sequence
  • Conference: Mute functions, Release, DTMF sequence


To upload the configuration file to the base, and so to the headset, you need to go into the web interface and into the path Extensions -> Select the IPEI of the headset -> "Import local Configurable Mmi:" and upload the file. 

If you are using a multicell system, you need to do this from the web interface of the base station the A190 is currently connected to, since the base will need to pass down the file to the A190 immediately.




Example XML´s

Below you will find some XML files that can act as examples, and the "configuration.xml" that can be used as a general file from which you can start.

  • "Dial_from_A190.xml" → How to dial numbers from the A190 in idle state
  • "Mute_OnOff.xml" → How to set a button to mute or un-mute a call
  • "Transfer.xml" → How to put on hold and transfer an ongoing call
  • "BilndTransfer.xml" → How to transfer the two calls that are active on the A190 at the same time so that they result on a call together
  • "Functions_A190.xml" → A slightly bigger scenario with more states, events and functions involved

  • Not all functions make sense in all headset states, that is why only certain functions can be mapped to events in any given state (for example, a Transfer function cannot be used when the headset is in Idle state)
  • When configuring a button, this will potentially loose its initial functionality: if the Hook button for example is assigned to Mute/Unmute an incoming call, you will not be able to answer the call using that button anymore as you usually do with the headset, you will need to configure another button to replace this functionality

  • You can bring back the initial functionality by uploading a file with an empty definition for that specific button in that specific state

  • Please notice that the A190 isn't able to accept the definition of new buttons, or an MMI file at all, when paired with a DECT handset: to do so, you will need to un-pair it, and then pair it again.

Ab der Firmware 520B1 ist es möglich, den Tasten des A190 einige Funktionen zuzuweisen und so z.B. einen Anruf vom A190 selbst zu starten oder sie zur Interaktion während eines Anrufs zu verwenden.

Am Ende dieses HowTo finden Sie einige XML-Dateien, einige davon sind Beispiele (die Details finden Sie im kommentierten XML-Code in der Datei), und die "configuration.xml" ist die generische Datei, die an Ihr eigenes Szenario angepasst werden kann.


Wie Sie in der Datei "configuration.xml" sehen können, gibt es verschiedene Zustände, in denen das A190 konfiguriert werden kann, verschiedene Tasten, die verwendet werden können, und verschiedene Funktionen, die aufgerufen werden können, von denen sich einige auf die Zahlenparameter beziehen, die Sie am Ende der Datei finden.

Um mit dem Headset zu interagieren, können Sie folgendes definieren:

  • Drei Tasten: Hook, Mute und Aux (letztere nur im Rufzustand)
  • Drei Ereignisse für jede Taste: Einfaches kurzes Drücken, doppeltes Drücken und langes Drücken
  • Zwei Hauptzustände, Leerlauf und Anruf, wobei letzterer in acht Unterzustände unterteilt werden kann, die da wären: Eingehender Anruf, Ausgehender Anruf, Anruf verbunden, Anruf in Wartestellung, Zweiter eingehender Anruf (Anklopfen), Zweiter ausgehender Anruf, Zweiter Anruf verbunden, Konferenz (alle diese Zustände sind bereits in der generischen Datei "configuration.xml" enthalten)



Funktionsklassen

Es gibt also sechs Funktionsklassen, die den Ereignissen zugeordnet werden können:

  • Stummschaltungs-Funktionen: Stummschaltung ein, Stummschaltung aus (Muteon, Muteoff)
  • Einzelanruf-Funktionen: Verbinden, Abweisen, Freigeben, Halten, Abrufen
  • Multi-Call-Funktionen: Verbinden + Freigeben, Verbinden + Halten, Abweisen + Freigeben, Konferenzschaltung
  • Wählfunktion: konfiguriert mit Bezug auf die zu wählende Nebenstelle
  • Übergabefunktion: konfiguriert mit Bezug auf die Nebenstelle, an die Sie den Anruf übergeben möchten, Blind-Transfer
  • DTMF-Sequenz: konfiguriert mit einer DTMF-Sequenz, die von der Telefonanlage interpretiert wird



Zustände

Jede Funktion kann in einem bestimmten Zustand (oder mehreren) verwendet werden, hier eine Übersicht über alle Zustände:

  • Leerlauf: Wählen, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Eingehender Anruf: Verbinden, Ablehnen, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Ausgehender Anruf: Stummschaltfunktionen, Freigeben
  • Verbundener Anruf: Stummschaltungsfunktionen, Freigeben, Halten, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Gehaltener Anruf: Stummschaltfunktionen, Freigeben, Wiederherstellen, Wählen, Weiterleiten, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Zweiter eingehender Anruf (Anklopfen): Mute-Funktionen, Verbinden, Abweisen, Verbinden + Halten, Verbinden + Freigeben, Abweisen + Freigeben, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Zweiter abgehender Anruf: Stummschaltfunktionen, Freigeben
  • Zweiter verbundener Anruf: Stummschaltfunktionen, Freigeben, Tauschen, Konferenzschaltung, Blind Transfer, DTMF-Sequenz
  • Konferenz: Stummschaltfunktionen, Freigeben, DTMF-Sequenz


Um die Konfigurationsdatei auf die Basis und dann auf das Headset zu laden, müssen Sie in der Weboberfläche in den Pfad Benutzer -> IPEI des Headsets auswählen -> "Importieren lokaler konfigurierbarer Mmi" gehen und die Datei hochladen.

Wenn Sie ein Mehrzellensystem verwenden, müssen Sie dies von der Web-Oberfläche der Basisstation aus tun, mit der das A190 gerade verbunden ist, da die Basis die Datei sofort an das A190 weitergeben muss.



Beispiel-XML's

Im Folgenden finden Sie einige XML-Dateien, die als Beispiele dienen können, und die "configuration.xml", die als allgemeine Datei verwendet werden kann, von der Sie ausgehen können.

  • "Dial_from_A190.xml" → So wählen Sie Nummern vom A190 im Ruhezustand
  • "Mute_OnOff.xml" → So konfigurieren Sie eine Taste zum Stummschalten oder Aufheben der Stummschaltung eines Anrufs

  • Nicht alle Funktionen machen in allen Zuständen des Headsets Sinn, deshalb können nur bestimmte Funktionen in einem bestimmten Zustand auf Ereignisse abgebildet werden (z. B. kann eine Übergabefunktion nicht verwendet werden, wenn sich das Headset im Ruhezustand befindet)

  • Wenn Sie eine Taste konfigurieren, verliert diese möglicherweise ihre ursprüngliche Funktionalität: Wenn z. B. der Hörertaste die Funktion Stummschaltung/Stummschaltung eines eingehenden Anrufs zugewiesen ist, können Sie den Anruf nicht mehr mit dieser Taste annehmen, wie Sie es normalerweise mit dem Headset tun; Sie müssten eine andere Taste konfigurieren, um diese Funktionalität zu ersetzen.
