Introduction

This page describes how to set up Programmable Feature Keys (PFKs) on the M55, M56 and M58, and provides an overview of what programmable keys are used for.

The M55/M56 handset supports six PFKs. The M58 deskset supports 24 PFKs (three pages of 8 PFKs).

Configuring Programmable Keys

  1. On the System → Programmable Keys page, click the Select Handset list and select a handset/deskset.
  2. For M58 Programmable Keys, click the Page number list and select the PFK page number you want to update.
  3. For each PFK:
    • Click the Type list and select a Key Type.
    • If applicable, click the Account list and select a SIP account.
    • If applicable, click the Value box and enter a value.

Provisioning

Import the following setting values to M500 via provisioning for the PFKs that you want to assign.

  • Substitute 'y' with the PFK number (1-6 for handset, 1-24 for deskset).
  • Substitute <Type> with the programmable key type.
  • If applicable, substitute <Account> with the SIP account number.
  • If applicable, substitute <Value> with the relevant numeric value.
  • For more details about how to substitute <Type>, <Account> and <Value>, see their corresponding columns in Key Types.
