Important advice regarding upcoming hardware revisions of D717 and D735 (new LCD's)
The phone models D717 and D735 will get new LCDs in an upcoming hardware revision. This release here is the first public available firmware that supports the new hardware revision and all the previous ones. But to prevent the new revision from being potentially bricked by downgrade attempts to older firmware releases, we introduced a compatibility check in the firmware update process (see SAP-6152 below). In addition, new settings / setting values are integrated starting with this release here to facilitate identifying the new hardware revision to support e.g. it's handling in provisioning or other related maintenance-, inventory- management tasks.
- a new setting hardware_version
- the value of hardware_version is shown in WUI System Information /info.htm and PUI System Info screen
- a new "X-snom-" custom HTTP header is added providing the value of setting hardware_version in phone web requests (e.g. provisioning data requests)
Known issues and limitations:
SAP-4680: For refactoring purposes the maximum amount of entries in the local phone book is temporarily reduced from 2000 to 1000 @D715 @D717 D725 @D735
→ No workaround. Please make sure that you do not use this version if you need > 1000 local phone book entries with the affected models.
SAP-5086: The warm dialing is not working as expected, if a number is entered before the configured timeout in setting auto_dial (3s in this case) the number entered is not dialed automatically - press OK key is needed.
→ No workaround.
SAP-5424 / SAP-5427: Executing an action in an XML definition via the ".../settings.htm?settings=save..." leads to a significant performance loss (blocked phone) or even an apparent crash (caused by watchdog timeout). Due to a regression, the entire settings.htm is parsed by the XML minibrowser during action execution slowing down the phone up to the point when the watchdog timeout resets it. The issue can be confirmed in log review, e.g. by statements like: "Malformed xml (near HTML) and Action URL returned non-minibrowser data"
→ Workaround: instead of /settings.htm? the alternative /dummy.htm? (dummy.htm has no content) can be used inside the action as described e.g. in: Remote phone control or Can I set or change phone settings via HTTP requests
SAP-5625: The MJPEG support (e.g. for door phone integration) is limited to work correctly only in idle state, but not in Ringing or Connected, - the issue is under investigation.
→ No workaround. Please make sure that you do not use this version if you need MJPEG support for Ringing and/or Connected state
SAP-5899: It is not possible to stop receiving multicast paging with the corresponding fkey.
→ Workaround: Pressing the Cancel / X key.
SAP-5916: Support for call recording to USB sticks, see USB Recording is broken @D715 and @D315. The setting The setting phone_features: "UsbRecordPlayback" cannot be set on that models.
→ No workaround: Please make sure that you do not use this version if you need USB call recording support with D715 or D315
SAP-5942: Due to a regression the setting rtp_early_media_muted is broken, - no local ringback with early media. Related log statement: "[DEBUG0] MEDIA: RTP: no incoming early media packets, play ringtone instead".
→ No workaround, but a known last known good with 10.1.37.11
SAP-6383: Under certain conditions, its observed that the phone ignores the SDP from a reINVITE and resends its original SDP. It also does not change the RTP destination port as it should, leading to RTP audio beeing sent to the wrong port. The phone log indicates that the destination address is missing.
→ Workaround: Turning off the setting user_sdp_version_check . Note: The required correction is available in 10.1.84.17.
SAP-6495: PUI shows failed to subscribe BLF User since BLF subscription of XML context keys is broken. #Broadsoft
→ Workaround: The required correction is available in 10.1.84.17.
SAP-6741: The XML Mini-browser's support for handling "401 Authentication required" challenges is broken.
→ Workaround: The required correction is available in 10.1.84.17.
Changes since release version 10.1.73.16 SAP-5403: Added a telephone directory search feature inside the webinterface /adr.htm SAP-5462: The message, indicating that the WLAN credentials are correct, is improved to make clear a reboot is needed to be able to use WLAN SAP-3769: An explicit trust to a server TLS certificate (by adding to Custom Certificates) did require an explicit trust to the corresponding CA (or the intermediate CA's) too before the TLS connection could be established, - n/a f. Preinstalled CertificatesChangelog
New features:
SAP-5571: A new XML Minibrowser main tag: SnomIPPhoneSilent is introduced, supporting to perform actions called from within XML message bodies from SIP Notify messages
SAP-5902: Introduced a new setting: call_info_audio_device to support a granular handling of Alert & Call info audio device preferences, - see also Alert-Info header and intercom_connect_type #Starface
SAP-5973: Introduced support for volatile storage of settings via a new "v" flag in Permission Flags, allowing a granular volatile setting management compared to disable_storing_changes
SAP-6056: New setting introduced: branding_name supporting a custom branding description in WUI ( /info.htm) & PUI System Info screen
SAP-6235: Added support for FTP URIs including credentials for regular firmware updates (before it was limited to recovery mode)Improvements and modifications:
SAP-5858: As a logical exception, the audio of a broadcast call (Alert-Info) is now played via speaker in case the handset is onhook & the handset is the current active device based on intercom_connect_type_active_device

SAP-5974: A new idle_timeout attribute variant for the XML Minibrowser is introduced, supporting the creation of an MB-autoclose use case
SAP-6152: Downgrade protection for new HW revision @D717 @D735
SAP-6253: Introduced a new setting, settings_reset_preserves_branding supports to define the desired reset behaviorCorrections:
SAP-4463: Inside the webinterface the call history entries on page /index.htm did not show the correct time or wrong date information for certain timezones (+/- 1d)
SAP-5664: If a context sensitive key was configured to ACD with the number field = blank its text label was "initial" instead of ACD
SAP-5712: The Production Information was empty inside the webinterface page /info.htm
SAP-5903: A combination of InputField Tag & Menu/MenuItem embedded in one custom XML Minibrowser based menu did led into a empty display & loss of the path - to prevent it, set the <defaultvalue> for the inputfield to the previous $[ current_input ]
SAP-6002: The XSI tbook synchronization failed if the large local phone book feature is active #Broadsoft
SAP-6204: The parameter "volmax" in setting mc_address used for multicast scenarios was not effective anymore
SAP-6209: Attempts of replacing a loaded TLS certificate failed, if the replacement has the identical expiry date
