What is SRAPS

The Secure Redirection and Provisioning Service (SRAPS) facilitates secure, zero-touch phone deployment. Reseller can remotely manage their clients and phones, eliminating the need for costly on-site visits. Users can set up redirection rules and create provisioning templates from anywhere, anytime. Best of all, this service is entirely free for Snom partners and customers.

How do I get access to SRAPS

You can sign up for your SRAPS user account online at https://sraps.snom.com/.

Where is SRAPS hosted

Snom hosts its service in the metropolitan area of Frankfurt a.M., Germany, and complies of course with the both the strict German data protection law and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Key features

  1. Endpoint Management: As a reseller, you can create and manage endpoints and provisioning profiles for your companies.
  2. Product Defaults: Customize default configurations per phone model and tenant, including firmware updates, GUI customization, and client certificates.
  3. Secure Redirection: SRAPS securely redirects Snom phones to their assigned setting servers.
  4. Auto-Provisioning: Define configuration profiles and apply them to phones seamlessly.
  5. REST API: Programmatically manage device redirections using the SRAPS REST API. This API allows integration into any platform, streamlining zero-touch provisioning.

How does SRAPS work

When a Snom phone connects for the first time to the internet, it will contact SRAPS. If SRAPS contains an entry for its MAC address, it will provide the configuration to the phone so that the phone either retrieves its entire configuration file from SRAPS (auto-provisioning) or it will be redirected to its final configuration server (redirection).

Interacting with SRAPS

  1. REST API: Use the SRAPS REST API to add endpoints, create/edit provisioning profiles and manage product defaults.
  2. Web Interface: Manage phones and provisioning profiles via the intuitive web frontend.
