Description
This setting tells the phone whether a headset is connected or not and defines the kind of headset, which is used. A simple headset can only be used via the headset button on the phone. The more advanced headsets, which are supporting the headset key events, are able to additionally control the phone with the keys on the headset (offhook/onhook, mute). It the connection method is configured wrong, then the key events will not work.
Valid Values
- none -> No headset is connected
- rj -> A simple headset is connected via rj connector, providing audio only.
- serial_ehs_box -> A headset is connected via Snom EHS-box, providing audio and basic headset key events (onhook, offhook).
- usbinput -> A headset is connected via USB, providing audio and headset key events via USB input interface. The key event codes are defined in the setting Audio parameters.
- usbhid_vendor_standard -> A headset is connected via USB, providing audio and headset key events via USB HID interface. The key event codes are known for supported headsets and are defined from the vendors of the headsets.
