Dear Community,

Im raising this issue beucase i have come at an end regarding SNOM BLF LED configuration.

The devices im using are 1x snom710/(FW 8.9.3.80) and 3x snom715 (FW 10.1.84.15)

These IP Phones used to work within a 3CX PBX without any issues, but now i've changed over to asterisk PBX for better management.

Basically the issue is that the LED lights of the BLF functionality seems to work the opposite of what it used to be, more specifically:

The light is off when an extension is available

The LED Light is blinking green when an extension is ringing.

The LED light is stable green when an extension is in a call.

By doing a little search, i've come across this article, which shows you how to reconfigure the LED lights to work as expected(Green when idle/available,Red blinking when ringing,Red Stable when in a call).

So by using the first setting mentioned(Request 1: led_on) , what i've managed to do is make it so that when an extension is available, the LED light is solid green, when its ringing its blinking green, and when its in a call it is turned off(basically grey).

Using any other of the HTTP requests mentioned the configuration stops working like mentioned before and the BLF functionality basically doesnt work.

Is there any way i could make the phones follow the scenario mentioned below:

Solid Green when available.

Blinking Red when ringing.

Solid Red when in a call.

I tried using the configuration mentioned here, but it also did not seem to work for me.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

    Hi,

The BLF feature may depend on the PBX, so if the suggestions below do not work as expected we will need a private ticket for deeper investigation: you can raise one if you are a Snom partner, or you can contact your Snom reseller so they can do that for you as they likely are Snom partners

You need to make sure the led_on parameter has (among others) these values: IDLE, RINGING, CONNECTED, BUSY

    Then

These parameters can be changed via provisioning or configuration or, if you are using a FW newer than 10.1.46.16, you can also do it via web interface as below

How to change phone settings via right-click in the Settings page

    Thank you
