Good Day,

I need to control 3 doors (door, garage door and gate) within our office. I'd like to have the 3 doors configured as BLF from the offices phone via 3CX. I plan to assign the SNOM PA1+ a user and then set 3 different DTMF codes to call PIN 1, 2 and 3. Is it feasible? Is it supported by the PA1+ and 3CX? Or eventually can the PA1+ have 3 SIP account and I give it 3 3CX acccount and at each user I assign a PIN, so don't need to use DTMF?

Unfortuntetely I don't have a PA1+ to run some tests..

thank you

    Hi,

You can control multiple pins on the PA1+ via DTMF, but only during an active call

You need to call the device, then you can control different pins using the DTMF commands below during an active call

    PIN 1: On 1#, Off 1*
    PIN 2: On 2#, Off 2*
    PIN 3: On 3#, Off 3*
    PIN 4: On 4#, Off 4*

You can also control one single pin on the PA1+ to activate during an incoming call, and to de-activate when the call ends, as below

How to activate a PA1 PIN when the device receives a call

That would allow one pin to activate simply using a BLF on the callers' phone, but since it can only activate one single pin you need to have three PA1+, one for each door

As an alternative, if you're using a Snom phone, you can configure three keys on the phone as Action URL, each sending a specific URL to the PA1+ to activate one specific pin: in that case no SIP call is needed, the phone can send the http URL straight to the PA1+ to activate the pin, but you also need three keys to send an URL to de-activate the pin once it has been activated

Also please remember the PA1+ has a 3.3V output from each pin, which is usually not enough to open a door, which likely requires 5V or 12V input so you need a relay between the PA1+ and the door

If you need more info please investigate this with a Snom partner, they should be able to provide you a device, more information and install it as you require, here on the Community we can only provide some info but we do not provide full installation support

If you don't know any Snom partner or installer, please ask for the contact of a Snom partner in your area to our sales team https://www.snom.com/en/contact/contact-person/

    Thank you
