When trying to update the firmware of my M300 to any firmware mentioned at (here for instance the 450B13)



there will only be a 3 second redirect to the same page without any further action. No update is loaded or installed. The actual firmware is IPDECT/04.10/B0004/22-Mar-2018 14:28


I tried everything with reboots, setting back to factory settings etc. but it won't change a thing.


Does anybody have a clue for me what I'm doing wrong? Or is my M300 broken?

    Hi Felix,

    your approach is correct.

    Please look in the syslog after you start the update again. Here you can see error messages and if the M300 load the files from the server.

    Please check the gateway and DNS setting from the M300 in the network settings.

    The actual time is unset everytime I restart the M300. After trying to start the firmware update no further entries in the syslog are made.

    the M300 is looking for the following path:
    http://dect.snom.com/M300/M300_v0450_b0013.fwu

    can you please download the file to a own webserver and try to update the base from this?

    If your webserver has the IP 1.2.3.4 the base needs to access the path

    http://1.2.3.4/M300/M300_v0450_b0013.fwu

     You can test it by trying to access the pasth with your webbrowser.

    I have the same problem.

    The firmware upgrade is impossible.

    This URL doesn't work.  Is it possible that the http is disable on snom.com ?

    Hi,

    I can confirm the http URL won't likely work on an M300, our current server is only working via https so the URL should be

    https://dect.snom.com/M300/M300_v0450_b0013.fwu

    We have a redirection in place from http to https but it takes some time to start the download and most browsers will timeout and fail the download via http.

    Also the M300 isn't fully equipped with the latest security protocols and won't work with a direct upgrade via https on our server, please download the FW file locally from my URL above and upgrade locally as shown below

    I deployed an http server on my network and now I see that the base is trying to download the firmware but I keep getting an http error.

    I have tried with different firmware versions but nothing works.

      The M300 is an EOS product Snom products lifecycle

      And the firmware for this base doesn't go past V530 as shown below DECT M-Series Firmware
