I have a total of 6 M65 Dect phones here. All of them have been extremely quiet for some time. When someone calls you can hardly understand the other person. The volume is already at maximum. What else can I test? I suspect that it is a hardware problem because the phones are different quiet. One is so quiet that you can't use it. Â

Hi,
This can happen if these devices are used in a dusty environment, or in a place with a lot of metal dust in general, as that can close the speaker's entrance and lower the volume in general.
It isn't something we see a lot around but that would be the main reason, if you think in this case it may be an hardware failure please talk with your Snom reseller/distributor, the one that gave you the handsets, and see how the want to proceed (Snom's warranty is usually 36 months, but it may depend on how the devices where used).

We have the same problem with our M90. It is unusable. We are a clinic, there is no dust whatsoever and we do not use this phone often. This is definitely a hardware problem.

For M90 it looks for me like a serious problem.
Installed 12x M90 in January 2023 and 5x M90 having this microphone problem.

We do not have more RMA than usual on these devices, so we do not currently see a problem on our side, this could be caused by the environment or the users: please report to your Snom reseller so they can report to us and we can get these handsets for investigation (or raise a private ticket if you are a Snom partner).
