To install a new firmware version on a base station and/or handset, please follow the instructions provided in the firmware update guide.

Known bug: Comma , in SIP display name cuts off the rest of the text. This happens when provisioning is used. A fix is currently being worked on.

Please read the  release notes carefully before upgrading.

WARNING - Please be sure to read this Information!

Upgrade handsets first to  avoid unreadable display text.

M5 repeaters not supported. Use M6 repeaters with V730B100.

Downgrade to 530B10 is possible on M900, but will reset all  "User" and "Engineer" profiles and passwords

  • SIP registrations "stick" to their base: Once a handset registers with a base station using SIP, that registration stays associated with that base station as long as it doesn't register with another base station using DECT.
  • Maximum registrations enforced: Each base station has a limit on the number of SIP registrations it can handle.
  • Handset Reboot checks and overflow prevention:  When a handsets restarts,  it connects to a base.  If on the base are more SIP registrations than allowed and other bases are available,  new DECT registrations will be denied and the handset forwarded to the next available base.

After upgrading from <=530B10, the base asks to set new passwords for "Engineer" and "User". Make sure you either provision the passwords or you change them immediately !!! A strict password policy will be applied.

This version has two additional user profiles introduced after 530B10. ("User" & "Engineer")

  • The base will ask for new passwords for these profiles after the upgrade. To avoid entering new passwords by hand you shall provision secure default passwords of your choice instead.

    Users and Passwords in the configuration to change:

    <http_user>admin</http_user>
    <!-- <http_pass>**********</http_pass> -->
    <http_basic_user>User</http_basic_user>
    <!-- <http_basic_pass>**********</http_basic_pass> -->
    <http_engineer_user>Engineer</http_engineer_user>
    <!-- <http_engineer_pass>**********</http_engineer_pass> -->

Please reboot the base station(s) (chain reboot in multi cells) before triggering the upgrade, to free up some memory and avoid any issues.
