I'm using a M15 SC handset on a M200 base station.
This works fine, but the phone is annoying me with the messagee
"No new firmware version." every few minutes and also does
a short beep (it does the same as manually choosing
"firmware update" in den Admin menu).
I can't find any setting to disable this behaviour. Is
the handset just incompatible with the base station or is there
a way to disable this warning?
The base station settings have Provisioning Schedule set to disabled,
so this also can't be the cause for this periodic check.

Do I need to throw the phone away and replace it with a M10
handset or is there a way to fix this?

  1. Hi,

The M15 is the only handset compatible with the M200, so no issues there and you cannot officially use an M10 with the M200 base station (the M10 can only be used with an M100)

The handset or base are probably stuck somehow, you can try and get into the handset's menu and trigger an upgrade, if a file is stuck on the base it will get pulled on the handset

Or you can try and upgrade/downgrade the firmware on the base, for the handset, so it may get un-stuck from this situation 2.11.0.4 - 1.38.75-0 - 1.38.77-3

If those steps won't solve the issue, a reset of the base should clear this, but you will need to reconfigure the M200 after the reset of course

    Thank you

    Hi,

I'm very sorry that I mixed something up in my request! disappointed face

I meant that I'm using a M10 SC on a M200 base station, thus, I suspect that this incompatibility may cause the "Firmware upgrade" problem.

I had 2 M15SC running on a M200 base station and one M15SC got defective, but I replaced it with a M10SC instead of a M15SC due to better availability.

The phone surprisingly works on the M200 base station, but the annoying constant Firmware update beep makes it unbearable to use.

So is this due to an incompatibility with the base station or can this be fixed somehow?

I don't suspect a hung firmware update, as I never issued one and the base station also doesn't even have a firmware update URL set.

    Thank you!

  3. Hi,

The M10 isn't officially supported on the M200, so it's impossible for us to understand what could be going on here or to solve this, it may just happen because the handset and base station aren't fully compatible

If you want to keep using the M200 you would need to use an M15, while if you want to use an M10 you would need to replace the base with an M100

    Thank you
