Hi,

Is there any way to disable the automatic SIP account selection?

I have multiple SIP accounts from different providers, and I’d like to dial the number first and then press the line/account button. That’s how it works on every other phone I’ve used (Cisco, Avaya, Grandstream, Yealink…), but not on SNOM. I’ve set up quite a few for clients, and this behavior is driving me crazy 😅 Any ideas or hidden settings for that?

Also, not as important, but — is it possible to make the “#” key act as a “SEND” button when dialing?

Thanks,

Marcin

    Hi,

The SIP account the phone will use to start a call is defined here active_line

You can switch between accounts using the navigation button, to make sure you're on the account you want to use before dialling

Or you can press the line key for that account, so that the phone will enable that line, and the dial the number you want to call

    ---------

To use the # to start the call, you need to set up a dial plan for that specific account

That can be done in the parameter user_dp_str and it's based on Regular Expressions, some details and examples here Dial Plan - Regular Expressions

In your case, the dial plan string should be something like this

    !([^#]+)#!sip:\1@\d!d

    ---------

If you need any additional help we can only provide that via a private ticket: you can raise one if you're a Snom partner, or ask your Snom reseller to help you

If you're a partner but you don't have access to our Helpdesk, or if you aren't a partner and you need a reseller to help you, please contact our sales team as they can point you in the right direction https://www.snom.com/en/contact/contact-person/

    Thank you

    Hi,

I found the active_line setting, but as I said — I want to dial the number first and then press the line button, not the other way around.

It’s not efficient to use navigation keys when you have six SIP accounts — that’s what the physical line buttons are for, right?

I also can’t use the redial buttons, because I first have to select a line and then go into the missed or redial list to pick a number.

It’s really annoying that I have to press so many buttons or scroll through the line list just to make a call.

Why can’t it be as simple as on other phones? Just dial a number on the keypad or select one from the address book, then press a line key to call. And only if no line is manually selected, the default line should be used.

    Best, Marcin.

    Hi,

I understand what you're saying, but that's not currently possible with a Snom desk phone

We can treat this as a feature request for our developers, but as previously said we need a private ticket to do so, we have an internal process we need to follow

You can raise one if you're a Snom partner, or ask your Snom reseller to help you

If you're a partner but you don't have access to our Helpdesk, or if you aren't a partner and you need a reseller to help you, please contact our sales team as they can point you in the right direction https://www.snom.com/en/contact/contact-person/

    Thank you

      Hi,

I am a SNOM Partner. I tried to open a ticket, but in Jira I only have the option to remove a MAC address from SRAPS.

I also sent an email to partners@snom.com, about problem with tickets, but no one ever replied :-(

      Best, Marcin.
