Hi community, my D717 seems to have SRTP / TLS communication problems. I'm using Zadarma PBX and trying to use the Snom phones but it does not work what ever I tried. SRTP is active with TLS I'm not really sure because the informations about it are irritating.
Does anybody has experience with Zadarma and could get a new D717 to work? Same lines are working without any problem with the Zadarma app, Android and OSX VoIP apps. The issue is for sure not from Zadarma.

Any help or advice is welcome

Thanks (smile)

Is it possible that the D717 series don't have a functional SRTP? Even a simple softphone like Zoiper for free is working like a charm.

    Hi,

Our D717 supports, using the latest firmware 10.1.159.12, TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and SRTP

The TLS needs to be enabled by the user_outbound parameter, with something like "SIP_server:port;transport=tls"

SRTP can be enabled using the parameter user_srtp

If you are still having issues we need a private ticket to discuss and investigate this, if you are a Snom partner please raise a private ticket, if not please ask your Snom reseller to do so for you.

    Thank you

    Hi Oskar,

please also check if the setting: user_savp - Snom Service Hub - Snom Service Hub is enabled. For compatibility / interop reasons it is default: off. Please read the entire description of the setting carefully.

Btw: The D717, as all other D7xx, D3xx or D8xx phones, has no general issue with SRTP. Your report is very likely related to an interop / compatibility configuration requirement specific to your PBX.

    Thanks,
    Jan

    Hi Gianmaria Tononi ,
    Hi Jan Boguslawski

thanks for your time. This solved my issue and outgoing calls are working now.

I have one more question please: What must I do to have a prefix dialled for all calls? I inserted the prefix 0001 in advanced / behavior but it's not dialled, only the phone number is appearing in the protocol. I used also the bracket version <0001> with no luck.

    Thanks in advance (smile)

PS: Maybe there is a scenario for one identity to include a prefix for all calls.

    Hi,

Please raise new threads in the future if you have new questions to avoid confusion.

I think you're currently using preselection_nr, is that correct?

If so, as reported "If a number is entered in this option, the phone dials this pre-selected number automatically every time the phone is taken off the hook", this doesn't add a prefix to any number you want to dial.

You can use a dial plan string for each identity as showed in Dial Plan - Regular Expressions

This could work in your case

    |^([0-9]*)$|sip:0001\1@\d

But if it doesn't please try something else out, for a deeper investigation we still would need a ticket as explained.

    Thank you
