I followed the instructions in the installation guide from 08.9.3.80, unfortunately without success. The display says: "Software Update Verifying Firmware No Snom Fw. Update Error: 98". After pressing a button, the phone restarts and everything is the same. I also tried “https” instead of “http”. Current FW version: snom720-SIP 8.7.3.17. Autoprovisioning via Placetel UI doesn't work either. Can anyone help?

Hi,
It may be an issue between the old firmware on the phone and our update server: please try an upgrade via a local http/tftp server, downloading the file locally
If that still doesn't work there isn't much else we can do unfortunately, the Snom 720 has been End Of Support since 2017
