The G729 DSP Module A729 for M700 enables additional G729 audio codec for the M700 base stations.
This is a step-by-step installation manual.
- First, remove the plastic module insert from the backside of the base. There is a single screw that holds the insert in place.
- Next, Replace the insert with the A729 DSP module:
- Part# Europe/UK: 0004080
- Part# Americas: 00-S012-00
- Connect the base back to the Network via PoE and check the Syslog and Server settings to confirm the DSP module was detected properly and the G729 codec is available for use.
→ Syslog message: loc5 .Debug 1970-01-01T00:00:03Z 173-[ DSP module detected and initialized.]
