If you connect a speaker to your PA1 or PA1+ the volume is set to default values, which could be not enough for your speaker

There are some things you can modify to change this behaviour, different for the PA1 or the PA1+

Change the volume

There is a parameter which will allow you to change the output volume on a PA1 and PA1+, as below

https://service.snom.com/display/wiki/vol_headset

It goes from 0, the lower possible volume, to the maximum of 15

You can increase or lower the volume by adjusting that parameter and it can be changed via configuration or provisioning but also via web interface, heading into the Preferences menu and into the PA1 Controls/PA1+ Controls section

There you can change the parameter Speaker Volume from 0 to 15 as shown below

Change GAIN on PA1

The PA1 has a gain level, which can be changed using the parameter https://service.snom.com/display/wiki/pa1_amp_gain

This is already enabled by default, so it may cause issues if the output volume it too high

It can be changed via configuration or provisioning but also via web interface, heading into the Preferences menu and into the PA1 Controls section

There you can change the parameter Amplifier Gain from 1 to 0 as shown below

Change GAIN on PA1+

Starting from firmware 10.1.169.x, the PA1+ also supports four different gain levels

These can be changed using the parameter https://service.snom.com/display/wiki/pa1_amp_gain

By default the gain level is set to 0, which is the lowest one: if you need a louder volume from the output on the PA1+ you can modify it and it can get up to 3

It can be changed via configuration or provisioning but also via web interface, heading into the Preferences menu and into the PA1+ Controls section

There you can change the parameter Amplifier Gain to 0, 1, 2 or 3 as shown below
