Hello.

I'm operating two M700 in a multicell environment. The firmware version of this base stations are 530-02. Configured are 5 M25 devices. Unfortunately delivered with firmware 410-03. If I try to update this mobile device to 530-02, following error occurs:

Maybe the gap between installed and new version is too big?
I've also tried to update to lower versions for the M25, starting wicth 410-11.

Always the same problem and the same issue.

My assumption:
It is not possible to update such low firmware versions of the handhelds in combination with the "new" firmware of the base?

Is there any way to install the new firmware on M25?
Can I perform a network recovery for M25?
Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for any idea or help.

  1. Hi,

you can update the handsets from old firmware to the latest one without intermediate steps. Please try the update via local network, here the guide: How to update M300,M700,M900 and handsets via Network

  2. Hi,

Yes, you need to upgrade your hardware with an intermediate step :

A direct update of the base station from V450BXX to V510B1 or higher is not possible, an intermediate update to V500B1 or V501B1 is required first.
