Important advice regarding upcoming hardware revisions of D717 & D735 (new LCD's) and the D385N & D785N variants (without Bluetooth support)
The phone models D717 and D735 will get new LCDs in an upcoming hardware revision. This release here is the third public available firmware that supports the new hardware revision and all the previous ones. But to prevent the new revision from being potentially bricked by downgrade attempts to older firmware releases, we introduced a compatibility check in the firmware update process (see SAP-6152 at 10.1.84.12 Release). In addition, new settings / setting values are integrated in this release here to facilitate identifying the new hardware revision to support e.g. it's handling in provisioning or other related maintenance-, inventory- management tasks.
- a new setting hardware_version
- the value of hardware_version is shown in WUI (web user interface) section System Information /info.htm and PUI System Info screen
- a new "X-snom-" custom HTTP header is added providing the value of setting hardware_version in phone web requests (e.g. provisioning data requests)
The new phone models D385N and D785N are basically HW revisions of D385 and D785 without the Bluetooth chip. Same downgrade / potential brick protections as for D717/D735 new HW do apply. The recently introduced compatibility check in the firmware update process is now extended to this revisions.
Known issues and limitations:
SAP-5625: The MJPEG support (e.g. for door phone integration) is limited to work correctly only in idle state, but not in Ringing or Connected, - the issue is under investigation.
→ No workaround. Please make sure that you do not use this version if you need MJPEG support for Ringing and/or Connected state
SAP-5942: Due to a regression the setting rtp_early_media_muted is broken, - no local ringback with early media. Related log statement: "[DEBUG0] MEDIA: RTP: no incoming early media packets, play ringtone instead".
→ No workaround, but a known last known good with 10.1.37.11
SAP-6888: Due to the local phone book refactoring, the .csv file based import of contact entries via WUI, web user interface does not work or fails if entries are assigned to groups (like VIP, Favorite, Deny List), or have multiple numbers / sub-contacts (related: XQI-1380, XQI-1406)
→ No workaround.
XQI-1496: Due to the local phone book refactoring, the sorted view does place contact entries that have first or last name starting with a number (e.g. 7crown) at the end of the list (instead of starting with such entries)
→ No workaround.
Changes since release version 10.1.101.11 SAP-5745: Introduced support for PIDF XML based presence based on RFCs 3265 -3865 -3863 -4480, - leveraging the built-in XML definitions capability XQI-1259: First milestone of local phone book refactoring is completed, so that the contact repository is now a database and the unique identifier must not be the number anymore SAP-6386: The recently introduced "Emergency numbers misconfigured" status message was always triggerd if the value 911 is removed or edited in setting: keyboard_lock_emergency Now, only if no value is set.Changelog
New features:
SAP-6714: Introduced support for search feature in the remote directories #MetaswitchImprovements and modifications:
SAP-5579: Added exception handling for invalid NTP packets (with e.g. time of 0x0000000 and/or FxFFFFFFFF) to address NTP roll-over date handling that led to showing date values in year 2036 (e.g. call history entries)
SAP-5998: The support of file types is extended for the XML tag: Uploads and a new related setting is introduced: replacement_plan_url to prevent a undesired reloading from an unchanged url
SAP-6287: Additional improvements for the web request redirect signal in phonebook- & call log-access #Metaswitch
SAP-6422: In context of local phone book refactoring the support for XCAP was removed on purpose and Snom deprecates its support starting this release FW
SAP-6452: The HF (handsfree) Tx and Rx WB (wideband) gains are now increased for @D785
SAP-6595: Added a new setting: user_srtcp that allows to send unencrypted SRTCP and correction for SRTCP relation to setting: user_auth_tag so that AES-32/80 is respected for SRTCP as well
SAP-6667: With the first milestone of local phone book refactoring completed (see XQI-1259) the new maximum amount of entries in the local phone book are now increased to 5000
SAP-6669: A new setting preferred_audio_device is introduced, replacing the setting: headset_active
SAP-6813: Introduced a new setting msw_hide_tbook_buttons to suppress context sensitive keys in phonebook menu which are not supported @Metaswitch
SAP-6844: To integrate with a specific Broadsoft based server BLF assignment the support for content type: multipart/mixed is introduced for BLF list NOTIFY #Broadsoft
SAP-6869: The RX gain is increased by 2dB for external USB devices (e.g. headsets, speakers) @D335 @D717 @D735Corrections:
SAP-6495: PUI shows failed to subscribe BLF User since BLF - Busy lamp field subscription of XML context keys was broken. #Broadsoft
SAP-6604: If a partial dialog-info is received the BLF - Busy lamp field related icon in the Smartlabels did not update / remained its status #Broadsoft
SAP-6665: The phone rebooted every 15 minutes when the setting watchdog is blank
SAP-6709: The BLF - Busy lamp field status was only updated for the first key
SAP-6739: If an identical number was assigned multiple times to phonebook entries the phone application crashed while performing a search request
SAP-6741: The XML Minibrowsers support for handling "401 Authentication required" challenges was broken
SAP-6747: Audio did not work properly at receiving side with the USB dongle Jabra Link 380, combined e.g. with Jabra Evolve2 65 @D315 @D345 @D385 @D715 @D725 @D785
