For some LDAP configurations in place a migration of LDAP settings might be required, as described here: Migrating settings for LDAP to Version V10.1.27.0 .
Without this step, LDAP functionality might be considered or experienced as broken.
Solution: read the LDAP description carefully and adjust your filters, especially pay attention to the * symbol.
