Starface GmbH is a dynamically expanding technology company located in Karlsruhe, Germany. Founded in 2005, the manufacturer of IP-based telephony systems is regarded as an innovative trendsetter in the market. The Linux-based STARFACE telephony system is available as a cloud service, a hardware appliance and a virtualized VM edition, and is suitable for companies of all sizes.

STARFACE is developed and manufactured in Germany and, as an open and future-proof UCC platform, can be seamlessly integrated into many CRM and ERP applications. STARFACE supports industry standards such as ALL-IP, ISDN, NGN and VoIP, and devices running Windows, OSX, iOS and Android can be integrated via open APIs.

Products & Services

The STARFACE telephony system is available as a hardware appliance, as a VM edition and as a cloud service. The latest version STARFACE 6.1 allows for the first time the use of native clients for Windows and OSX thanks to the newly developed Unified Communications Interface UCI 3.0. This means that users can enjoy a powerful and easy-to-use business telephony experience directly on their computer.

With STARFACE 6.1, businesses in Germany are fully prepared for the switch-over to ALL-IP telephony which will replace ISDN by the end of 2018. Thanks to the comprehensive support of the SIP protocol and many open APIs, STARFACE secures a return on investment even after the switch-over from ISDN.

Integration with Snom

Snom telephones are an ideal companion to the STARFACE telephony system. Snom telephones can be used to their full potential in conjunction with a STARFACE. Snom telephones support, other than the easy Zero-Touch Provisioning (Plug&Play), 15 type of function keys which go beyond the standard BLF key. The user can control and display STARFACE features from the telephone menu. Snom telephones are able to display the STARFACE telephone directory, call lists, redirections and DND. Additional features such as Distinctive Ring (group ringtones), Voicemail, group management and altering the signalling number give the STARFACE user the full Comfortphoning experience.
