Core dumps and debug logs can be generated on Snom phones beginning with Firmware Version 8 for snom D3xx and D7xx (also for the older 7xx and 8xx models).
For snom 3x0 and PA1 phones, no core dump will be generated. Only the debug log in the support.htm page will be generated, but this log is a very important debug tool in case of a crash.
To enable core dumps:
In order to turn these settings on, you can do either one of the following steps:
The phone will only leave a core dump if it restarts on itself. If you notice that your phone has blocked, first wait 5-10 minutes, the phone should restart on its own.
If the phone does not restart on its own, you can restart it yourself after 10 minutes.
After the phone has crashed, you will find the core dump at the following link:
For example, if your phone's IP address is 192.168.7.98:

Click on "core dump download" and save the core dump on your computer.
If you haven't opened a support request for the crash yet, please find here , how to do it. Since the core dump is too large to be sent as attachment to the support request, please place it online on a http/ftp server. In case you don't have access to such a server, please let us know and we will provide you one.
All the details from the support.htm page are important for debugging the problem, so please also copy the text content that you find on this page and send it along with your support request.
